Covid Vaccinations Latest
In line with national guidance we are currently contacting patients who fall into Group 6. This includes adults aged 16-65 with underlying health conditions that put them more at risk of becoming seriously unwell.
This is a very large group of people (across all 3 practices, there are over 3,000 people in this group) so it will take us a few weeks to be able to contact all of those who are eligible, so we ask for your patience while we contact everyone. Where we have a mobile phone number on your record, we will send you a text invitation to book an appointment, otherwise we will call you on your landline number.
We also have some good news for those that received their first vaccination at Crosfield before Christmas. For those who received their first dose on 22nd or 23rd December, we will be calling you to book your second dose in the w/c 8th March. The clinics will be at Crosfield Hall and we will start calling to book you in this week.
For anyone who has yet to receive their first vaccine but is aged 64+ OR has received a letter classing them as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable OR is an adult in receipt of carers allowance, you can book a vaccine appointment at Oakley Road in Millbrook by calling 119, booking online at www.nhs.uk/book-coronavirus-vaccination
Following the Health Minister’s announcement yesterday, all people aged over 70 who have not yet received a letter or a phone call to book the first dose of the COVID vaccine can now book an appointment by phoning 119 between 07:00 to 23:00 or booking online at www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination. Please do not phone the surgery. We are experiencing very high levels of calls, which are causing problems for patients trying to contact us with medical queries.
If you already have an appointment booked at Crosfield Hall at one of our clinics this week, then please attend this appointment. Our clinics are still running. We are also still working to vaccinate our housebound patients and hope to have this complete by the end of this week.
This week we will begin texting invitations to book an appointment to eligible patients where we have a mobile phone number held on your medical record. Please be assured that a text received from accurx.thirdparty.nhs.uk has been sent by the surgery and is not a scam.
